4 years agoJacksonville Jaguars tight end Tyler Eifert (neck) sustained a stinger, which forced him to exit Sunday’s contest versus Houston early. There is optimism that Eifert will be able to return to the field soon, a definite positive whenever discussing a neck ailment. Prior to his departure, Eifert saw a season-high seven targets, continuing to be a focal point in the red zone for the Jacksonville offense. With the Jaguars hosting Detroit next Sunday before their bye week, the team may opt to keep Eifert sidelined out of an abundance of caution, which makes monitoring his practice workload during the week a consideration. He’ll be a deep season-long league TE1 should he ultimately suit up.--Jesse Borek
