Tyler Glasnow Continues to Dominate
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow threw a gem on Sunday against the Red Sox. He finished the day after 102 pitches with nine strikeouts, one walk, six hits and two earned runs over 6 2/3 innings. He got into a bit of trouble in his last frame and was pulled before reaching seven innings. Glasnow was a popular sleeper pick, however, many likely didn’t expect this kind of dominance from him considering some of his walk and home run troubles in 2018. This season, he’s kept his walk rate to a minimal 1.75 percent and his home run rate at a league-average 10 percent. He’ll take his sparkling 1.75 ERA and 27.7 strikeout rate into a mouthwatering matchup with the Orioles next week.
