Tyler Kroft Lands On COVID-19 List
3 years agoNew York Jets tight end Tyler Kroft has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, making him uncertain to suit up for Sunday's matchup vs. the Buccaneers. Kroft played in a season-high 86% of the Jets' offensive snaps in Week 16, finishing with three receptions for 29 yards, while tying his season high with five targets. It's unclear where New York would turn if Kroft is unable to clear the league's protocols in time, as no tight ends on their active roster are currently healthy and able to suit up. Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson has not been gifted much consistency from his pass catchers this season, but there at least appears to be signs of red zone rapport being built with the 29-year-old Kroft. The Buccaneers defense stands to be a tremendous season-long asset for finals matchup, with any further absences from Jets skill position players driving that home.
