Tyler Mahle Allows Five Runs Friday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle struggled in his first start after the All-Star break on Friday. Mahle allowed five runs over 5 1/3 innings of work while striking out eight and walking three in an 11-6 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. He gave up two homers in the start, including a two-run shot to Willy Adames in the fifth inning. Mahle escaped with a no-decision but saw his ERA jump up to 3.93 after the outing. He will take on the New York Mets in his next start, which comes at home in Cincinnati on Wednesday.
