Tyler Mahle Allows Six Runs
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle struggled in a 13-12 win over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. Mahle allowed six runs in five innings of work while striking out five and walking none. The rough start goes into the books as the least effective start of the season for him, considering he gave up just five earned runs total across all five of his starts in April. Mahle now has a 1-1 record, 3.23 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 41 strikeouts in 30 2/3 innings of work. He will look to bounce back in his next start, which comes against the Cleveland Indians on Sunday.
