Tyler Mahle Earns First Win With Twins On Friday
2 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Tyler Mahle recorded his first victory since being dealt from the Cincinnati Reds at the trade deadline, going six shutout innings, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out six. The right-hander has posted a subpar 4.26 ERA, although he owns 3.40 FIP with a 25.8% strikeout rate and 1.21 WHIP over 21 starts. Mahle should improve his numbers after the move from hitter-friendly Great American Ballpark with his strong underlying numbers. Fantasy managers would be wise to add the 27-year-old if he's available on the waiver wire.
