Tyler Mahle Falls Apart In Sixth Inning
7 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle cruised through the first five innings of his Friday start against the St. Louis Cardinals but he hit the wall in the sixth inning. Mahle allowed the Cardinals to score five runs, four of which came in a sixth inning where he only got one out. He took the loss, falling to 1-2 on the season with a 5.63 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 16 innings of work. While he isn't getting it done in mixed leagues right now, Mahle has the potential to be a solid mid-range starter in NL-only formats.
