Tyler Mahle Loses Third Game
6 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle struggled in a loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. Mahle allowed St. Louis to score five runs in five innings while striking out just two and allowing seven hits. The loss drops Mahle's record to 0-3 with a 4.50 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 26 strikeouts in 28 innings of work. Mahle has been up-and-down this season but is trending in the wrong direction, having lost three straight starts while allowing at least four runs in each of those outings. Mahle will look to regroup ahead of his next start, which is set to come against the New York Mets.
