Tyler Mahle Picks Up Eighth Win
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle turned in an excellent outing in an 8-2 win over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday. Mahle tossed six scoreless innings, scattering five hits, striking out two, and walking one to pick up the win. While he strangely didn't rack up many strikeouts against a Cubs lineup that has the highest strikeout rate in the league against right-handed pitching, fantasy gamers will take the win. Mahle's record improves to 8-3, to go along with a 3.71 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 133 strikeouts over 111 2/3 innings of work. Mahle will face off against the Minnesota Twins next time through the rotation. He needs to stay active in fantasy lineups for that contest.
