Tyler Mahle Picks Up Third Win
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle threw 5 1/3 scoreless innings in a 2-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday. He was credited with the win, improving his record to 3-2 on the year. Mahle struck out two and walked one in the outing while scattering three hits. While Mahle's usual high strikeout totals weren't there, fantasy gamers will take the solid outing after he let in seven earned runs in his previous start. Mahle now has a 3.75 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 56 strikeouts over 50 1/3 innings of work this year in what has been a breakout year for him. He will face off against the Chicago Cubs next.
