Tyler Mahle Takes Eighth Loss On Tuesday
5 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle struggled in his Tuesday start against the Los Angeles Angels. Mahle gave up four runs in five innings, striking out four and walking two. He was done in by the long ball as he served up two to the Angels in the loss, a solo shot, and a three-run shot. Mahle's record dropped to 2-8 with a 4.35 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 84 strikeouts in 82 2/3 innings of work. The young right-hander has shown improvement this season, even though his record doesn't indicate it. He will take on the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday for his next start.
