Tyler Mahle Takes Sixth Loss
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle gave up three runs over 4 1/3 innings in a 6-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday. Mahle struck out six and walked three in the start. The veteran right-hander struggled with his efficiency on Tuesday, needing 96 pitches with just 58 of those going for strikes. Mahle has been one of Cincinnati's most consistent pitchers this season but he wasn't at his best in his second matchup against the Pirates in the past week. Overall, Mahle has a 12-6 record, 3.66 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 198 strikeouts over 169 2/3 innings of work. Mahle is scheduled to take on the Washington Nationals next time out.
