4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill (finger) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, retroactive to May 17. O'Neill suffered a left middle finger fracture while sliding on a stolen base attempt in Sunday's game. It's a big blow for the St. Louis lineup, as O'Neill was just heating up and providing power in the middle of the order. He was considered day-to-day at first, but the diagnosis means that he'll likely miss at least a little more than the required 10 days, with the Cardinals saying he shouldn't miss more than "a couple of weeks."
