6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill was called up after Tommy Pham was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday. O'Neill made the start Tuesday night against the Colorado Rockies. He scored once off of his two hits. This will be his second stretch of playing time that will last for an extended period of time. Barring something strange, he should be in the major leagues for the remainder of the year. That being said, Harrison Bader has earned starts in center field which will cut into O'Neill's time. Treat these two as a platoon until there's a clearer picture of who will get the everyday job.--Blake Sullivan
