2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill (shoulder) is scheduled to serve as the designated hitter on Friday for Triple-A Memphis to start his minor league rehab assignment. O'Neill recently visited with a doctor and has been out for two weeks with a sore right shoulder. Evidently his doctor visit went well, and he could return from the injured list at some point next week if he doesn't encounter any setbacks in the minor leagues. Despite hitting just .195/.256/.297 with two home runs, 20 RBI, 14 runs scored and three stolen bases in 32 games for the Cardinals this year, O'Neill figures to return to a regular outfield role when he rejoins the major league club.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
