Tyler Rogers Earns Third Save Of Season Sunday

4 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Tyler Rogers notched his third save of the season in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks. Rogers pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning with two strikeouts to lock the game down, while teammate Tony Watson pitched a clean eighth inning with two strikeouts as well. This comes immediately after a game in which Rogers allowed a run in the eighth inning with Watson earning the save. Rogers has struggled this season, allowing a 6.00 ERA while converting three of five save opportunities. The path to saves on the Giants' team has been unclear this season, with multiple players seeing opportunities.
