Tyler Rogers Pitches The Eighth
4 years agoSan Francisco relief pitcher Tyler Rogers pitched the eighth inning Saturday night against the San Diego Padres. He pitched a scoreless inning, allowing a hit and a walk. There had been some speculation, given closer Jake McGee's recent struggles, that Rogers could be awarded some save opportunities going forward, but this usage is not consistent with that idea. Rogers had already pitched the day prior, and entered while the Giants held a four-run lead. Regardless, Rogers remains an excellent fantasy asset in leagues that value holds, with some value in all formats due to his excellent ratios.
