Tyler Rogers Records 22nd Hold
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Tyler Rogers recorded his 22nd hold of the season against the New York Mets Wednesday, allowing no baserunners and striking out one in an inning of work. Jake McGee went on to blow the save in the following inning. Rogers has been an immense value in leagues that reward holds, adding 11 saves as well. If McGee were to continue to struggle, Rogers could step into the closer role, increasing his equity even further. He doesn't offer many strikeouts, but his 2.02 ERA and 1.03 WHIP make up for that shortcoming.
