Tylor Megill Hoping To Throw Live BP Tuesday
2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Tylor Megill (biceps) said that he's hoping to throw live batting practice on Tuesday. Megill was put on the injured list on May 15 with right biceps tendonitis. The 26-year-old right-hander should go on a minor league rehab assignment shortly after he resumes facing live hitters. Before his injury, he had made seven starts for the Mets and had allowed 17 earned runs on 30 hits while walking nine and striking out 37 in 34 2/3 innings pitched. Given the injured state of New York's starting rotation at the moment, Megill will be assured of a rotation spot when he's ready to return from the injured list.
