6 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Tyson Ross took a loss Thursday against the San Francisco Giants despite allowing only one earned run in seven innings. He gave up four hits and three walks but was outdueled by Giants starter Madison Bumgarner. Ross managed to punch out three on the evening. The solid start sinks his ERA to 3.34 with a 1.18 WHIP and 8.6 K/9. Ross continues to impress and his peripheral metrics suggest the performance is sustainable.
