Ty'Son Williams Has Chance To Secure Starting Job
3 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Ty'Son Williams could hold on to his starting job despite the addition of Latavius Murray. As Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic writes, "I expect the Ravens to give Williams every opportunity over these first couple of weeks to solidify his hold on the starting job, specifically with the newcomers still learning the offense." Of course, Williams' path to this role has been messy; the opportunity only arose after J.K. Dobbins (ACL), Gus Edwards (ACL), and Justice Hill (Achilles) all suffered season-ending injuries before the regular season even began. After appearing in just one game and logging zero touches as a rookie last year, it now appears that the starting job is Williams' to lose. He's a solid FLEX option this week, especially considering newcomers Murray, Le'Veon Bell, Devonta Freeman, and Trenton Cannon have had limited time to learn the offense.
