Uchenna Nwosu Wants To Remain With Hometown Team
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers impending free-agent outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu was born and grew up in Los Angeles and played at USC in college. He wants to stay with his hometown team, and the Chargers would love to have him back, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly. Nwosu will have plenty of options, though, as the Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills and New York Jets are expected to have interest in him, and he would ideally like a contract in the $10-13 million range at 25 years old. In 2021, he had a career-high five sacks, eight tackles for loss, 16 QB hits and one interception and received a career-high 15 starts while playing in all 17 games. And Nwosu did it all while battling through a labrum injury that was serious enough to potentially require offseason surgery.
