4 years agoValentina Shevchenko showed why she is the dominant champion of the women's flyweight division, earning the unanimous-decision victory over challenger Jennifer Maia. Bullet landed 62 significant strikes (249 total strikes) along with nailing five of her six attempted takedowns. Shevchenko is starting to clear out her division, making a third bout with Amanda Nunez more and more likely. Until that matchup comes, Shevchenko will remain the highest-salaried fighter each week she fights, but she is worth the price tag and will continue to be so, at least until she has a rematch with Nunez.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
