Vaughn Grissom Hasn't Missed A Beat In Double-A
2 years agoAtlanta Braves shortstop prospect Vaughn Grissom hasn't missed a beat in his brief time for Double-A Mississippi. The 21-year-old was promoted this past month from Single-A Rome and is 12-for-26 with one homer, five RBI and three stolen bases. Overall, Grissom has hit .324 with 12 homers, 60 RBI and 23 stolen bases between Rome and Mississippi. The young shortstop is mature at the plate with very good discipline and makes very good contact. Shortstop may ultimately not be the position that Grissom winds up at long term, but his offense is what will get him to the big leagues, and that could be as soon as 2023. For now, Grissom is a name for dynasty-league managers.
