Velus Jones Jr. Could See Significant Target Share
2 years agoChicago Bears wide receivers Velus Jones Jr. and Byron Pringle will compete for the No. 2 receiver job behind Darnell Mooney this year, with N'Keal Harry and Equanimeous St. Brown hoping to capitalize on fresh starts to provide consistent production on the outside. The rookie Jones might be inexperienced, but his blazing 4.3-second speed and ability to line up across the formation has him in line for a significant target share as a WR2 in his first NFL season. Fantasy managers shouldn't really be trusting any receiver not named Mooney on the Bears to begin the season, but Jones will be an intriguing dynasty/keeper selection, especially if second-year quarterback Justin Fields can take a step forward.
