7 years agoDetroit Tigers designated hitter Victor Martinez (heart) said he had a normal offseason training program and wasn't limited in any way. V-Mart missed the final month of last year with an irregular heartbeat and needed surgery to fix it. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, the 39-year-old doesn't have much left to offer with his bat. He doesn't strike out much and walks a fair amount due to his excellent hitting eye, but his power is extremely lacking at his advanced at, and injuries will probably remain an issue.
