Victor Robles Departs Game Early Saturday With Dehydration
6 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles left Saturday's game in the top of the second after experiencing symptoms of dehydration. Robles dropped to a knee, and after a visit from the training staff, he walked off the field under his own power. Robles is riding a six-game hit streak and has homered in two of his last three games, although his overall production this season has been somewhat of a disappointment given his draft day cost. The 22-year-old is sitting with a .243 average with 11 homers, 41 runs, 33 RBI, and nine steals through 71 games. Michael A. Taylor took over in center field but it looks like Robles should be good to go for Sunday's finale. Look for the Nats to update his status post-game to clarify the situation.
