Victor Robles Gets MRI on Oblique
5 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles had an MRI on his left oblique some time in late February. The results were negative and he is day-to-day as of Saturday. Nationals manager Davey Martinez alluded to it still being very early in the baseball year, hence the caution. Unless there is news of an aggravation or setback, this injury should not affect Robles' top-60 draft stock. His exit velocity in 2019 of 81.0 mph is a much bigger concern if you plan to take him there than the injury. Still, he will be an everyday player, possibly at the top of the order, who even with the exit velocity had enough barrels (20) to sustain double-digit homers to go with a lot of steals.
