Victor Robles Leads Off, Walks Twice Tuesday
4 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles served as the team's leadoff hitter for their season opener, a 6-5 walk-off win against the Braves. He singled, walked twice, and scored twice in five plate appearances. If he puts together that kind of performance regularly, he could be the team's leadoff hitter even after presumed regulars Josh Bell and Kyle Schwarber, who are out due to the team's coronavirus outbreak, return to action. If Robles was undrafted in your league, which probably only happened in shallower ones, it's not too early to pick him up, at least to see what happens while Washington's active roster remains thin.
