3 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings are expected to hire Denver Broncos running backs coach Curtis Modkins as their run-game coordinator/running backs coach, according to a source. Denver's ground game with Melvin Gordon III and Javonte Williams was the offense's strength in 2021, and Modkins will now head to Minnesota to work with lead-back Dalvin Cook. Modkins joined Denver in 2018 under then-head coach Vance Joseph. Both Modkins and soon-to-be Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell worked together for the San Francisco 49ers in 2016, with Modkins serving as the team's offensive coordinator.
