Vikings Grab Iowa Quarterback Nate Stanley
5 years agoWith the 244th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings selected Iowa quarterback Nate Stanley. A solid player for the Hawkeyes, Stanley never threw for a completion percentage over 60 percent and had just 16 touchdowns to seven interceptions as a senior. But Stanley does hold onto the ball too long but has the chance to be an effective backup for a Vikings team that needs a reliable backup to quarterback Kirk Cousins. No one wants to see Stanley start a game in 2020, but as a long-term project, he could be worth a late pick in superflex rookie drafts.
