Vikings Not Expected To Pick Up Garrett Bradbury's Option
3 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings are not expected to pick up center Garrett Bradbury's fifth-year option at $13.202 million for the 2023 season by the May 2 deadline, so they could be looking for a long-term answer at the position in this week's draft. The Vikings have the No. 12 overall pick in the first round on Thursday, and Iowa's Tyler Linderbaum is considered the only first-round candidate at center, but he could be a reach at the Vikings pick. Intriguing center candidates in the second and third rounds include Nebraska's Cam Jurgens, Memphis' Dylan Parham, Kentucky's Luke Fortner and Tennessee-Chattanooga's Cole Strange. Bradbury has really struggled in pass protection since he was the 18th overall pick in 2019 out of North Carolina State, so it makes sense that the Vikings would avoid picking up his fifth-year option.
