2 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings signed free-agent tight end Shaun Beyer to an undisclosed deal on Monday, according to a source. Beyer was waived by the Denver Broncos in May after spending most of his rookie season in 2021 on the team's practice squad. The 24-year-old hasn't been on an NFL active roster and has yet to play in a game, so he'll be hoping to stick around in Minnesota as tight end depth behind Irv Smith Jr., Ben Ellefson and Johnny Mundt. Beyer will be competing for a roster spot with Zach Davidson and rookie Nick Muse, but if he sticks with the Vikings, it will most likely be on their practice squad.
