4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Vince Velasquez allowed one run in four innings pitched in a no-decision vs the Braves Sunday. Velasquez wasn't dominant as he allowed three hits and three walks, but salvaged fantasy value by striking out six. While the results were a mixed bag, Velasquez did generate 13 swinging strikes on just 76 pitches so if he can cut back on the walks, he could be an effective pitcher for fantasy. That being said, it is unclear when he will start again with Zach Eflin returning from injury and top-prospect Spencer Howard starting the second game of Sunday's doubleheader.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
