3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Vince Velasquez allowed four runs, three earned, in four innings to take the loss Friday in San Francisco. Velasquez has not lasted past the fifth inning in four straight starts and has allowed 14 earned runs in that span. The right-hander has been plagued by the long ball this season as he's given up 1.7 HR/9 thanks to a 43 percent fly-ball rate.
