3 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Vitek Vanecek will guard the cage in Monday's tough matchup against Carolina. It's going to be his second consecutive start and his sixth start in eight games. Vanecek has already beaten the Hurricanes once this month when he produced a 36-save shutout in a 4-0 win on Mar. 3. The Czech netminder has three shutouts in total for the season and boasts a 17-9-5 record with a 2.45 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.
