4 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Vitek Vanecek will make his NHL debut on Friday night against the Buffalo Sabres. The 25-year-old was a second-round pick of the Capitals in 2014 and faces a stiff test against a top-heavy Sabres lineup. Vanecek posted a 19-10-1 record in the AHL last season, to go along with a 2.26 goals-against average and .917 save percentage. With Ilya Samsonov clearly cemented as the No. 1 goalie in Washington, Vanecek is only viable as a streaming option for fantasy managers.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
