Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Back In Sixth Spot
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is batting sixth for the second consecutive game as the team faces Red Sox right-hander Nathan Eovaldi. The former top prospect is off to a sluggish start, hitting .239 with one homer and three RBI through 12 games this season. He's having difficulty getting under the baseball with a 62.2% groundball rate after posting a number just below 50% in 2019. With the shift to first base, Guerrero has spent a lot of time working on the defensive side of the ball, perhaps a reason for his slow offensive start. The 21-year-old still holds immense dynasty upside, but he'll become a redraft bust if he doesn't turn it around soon.
