Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Hits 3-Run Blast in 8th to Spur Toronto's Comeback
5 years agoAfter back-to-back home runs by Teoscar Hernandez and Brandon Drury in the bottom of the eighth inning cut Toronto's deficit to four runs, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. pulled the Blue Jays within one run when he hit a three-run home run off of Tampa reliever Oliver Drake. Toronto would later win in the twelfth on Hernandez's second home run of the night. The home run was his first in a week and only his second since the end of June but Guerrero Jr. has been heating up as late, with multiple hits in five of his last eight games and remains a must-start.
