4 years agoToronto Blue Jays infielder Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is 7-for-7 with two doubles and a triple over his last two games. Playing third base on Friday against the Detroit Tigers, he recorded three singles. He's now 12-for-20 (.600) with four extra-base hits and a BB-K of 5-2 this spring. Guerrero Jr. produced a 112 wRC+ in 2020 but his season was considered a disappointment considering the hype generated during his ascent to the majors. He re-dedicated himself to his fitness over the winter and lost significant weight, which seems to be paying dividends this spring. Guerrero Jr. is expected to primarily play first base in 2021 but he could see occasional time at the hot corner.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
