Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Slugs Third Homer
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. swatted his third homer of the season during the team's 7-5 loss to the Rays on Sunday. Since the Jays played a makeshift doubleheader, his day was shortened slightly in the eight-inning affair as he finished the game going 2-for-3. Guerrero is hitting .246 on the year with seven runs and six RBI, which are disappointing numbers for owners who used an early-round selection on the 21-year-old. With his demotion to the sixth spot in the order, Guerrero will have to start living up to his potential as the former top prospect in baseball to move back up the lineup where his counting stats can flourish.
