Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Swats 36th Bomb Friday
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo homer on Friday as his club fell to the Tigers 4-1 in extras. He took the first offering from Tyler Alexander in the fourth inning out of the park to right-center for a 425' blast to end his nine-game homerless drought in an overall quiet game from the Jays offense. Guerrero hasn't kept up his torrid first half pace with just three long balls, six RBI, and a .236 average in 18 August games so far, but his .312 BA, 36 HR, and 89 RBI are still all among the top marks in baseball.
