Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Swats First HR Of 2022
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, and a strikeout in a 12-6 loss to the Texas Rangers on Sunday. Guerrero Jr. led off the bottom of the third inning by swatting his first home run of the season off Rangers starter Spencer Howard. It was his only hit of the ball game but he also reached with a walk later in the contest. Through 11 at-bats this season, the 23-year-old superstar is slashing a robust .455/.500/.727 with one home run and four RBI. He will continue to build off his monstrous 2021 campaign in which he smashed 48 homers and drove in 111 runs. This Blue Jays squad is going to score a lot this season.
