3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Vladimir Gutierrez struggled in a 7-5 loss to the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. The rookie hurler allowed six runs over 4 1/3 innings of work in the game, which was called with one out in the sixth inning due to rain. Gutierrez struck out three, walked three, and allowed three homers, all solo shots. The loss drops his record to 3-3 with a 4.93 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and 30 strikeouts in 38 1/3 innings of work. Gutierrez is scheduled to face the Kansas City Royals next time through the rotation.--Matt T - RotoBaller
