2 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Vladimir Gutierrez (elbow) is set to undergo Tommy John surgery and will miss the rest of the regular season. The 26-year-old has struggled heavily this season with a 7.61 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 29/24 K/BB ratio. He made 10 appearances (8 starts) before landing on the injured list in early June. Gutierrez will miss the rest of the 2022 season and likely the first half of next season. Most fantasy managers can ignore this news since Gutierrez wasn't offering much in terms of fantasy value.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
