Vladimir Gutierrez Wins Third Game
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Vladimir Gutierrez allowed two runs over six innings in a 10-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday. Gutierrez struck out six and walked two in the lopsided win. The rookie hurler got off to a shaky start in the outing, allowing a solo homer in the first inning and another run in the second. He then settled down, spinning four scoreless innings to pick up the win. Gutierrez has been a helpful addition to the Cincinnati pitching staff, posting a 3-1 record, 2.74 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts over 23 innings of work. Gutierrez will next take on the San Diego Padres on the road.
