6 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Vyncint Smith caught his only target of Sunday's game, a 35-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to help put the Texans briefly in front. Smith was only seeing playing time because Demaryius Thomas left the game with an Achilles injury, but with Thomas out and Keke Coutee (hamstring) not being a guarantee to play in Week 17 against the Jaguars, Smith could be in for an expanded role. Whether that expanded role turns into anything against a tough Jaguars defense is the question, and with how disappointing Thomas had been in his role as the team's second outside receiver at times, expecting Smith to have an impact on Sunday is likely asking too much.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
