5 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Wade Davis pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday in San Francisco to earn his 11th save of the season. Davis has now earned the past four saves for the Rockies and appears to have settled in as the team's go-to option in the ninth. His numbers aren't pretty as his ERA sits at 4.70 with an equally bad xFIP at 4.64 and he still walks too many batters. His walk rate for the season of 14.6 is not exactly ideal for a closer and will lead to earned runs and blown saves, especially given his home ballpark. However, he still appears to be the man to own in the Rockies bullpen and should be owned in leagues that value saves.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
