Wade LeBlanc Impressing As Starter
7 years agoSeattle Mariners pitcher Wade LeBlanc posted another strong start on Sunday, pitching 7 2/3 innings of shutout baseball against the high-powered Boston Red Sox. LeBlanc (3-0) now has held opponents to two runs or less in seven of his last eight starts while also pitching five innings or more in seven of his last eight . The key to his success as a starter has been his effectiveness pitching when runners get into scoring position. Opposing hitters are slugging only .263 in 58 at-bats with runners on second or third and only 7-for-58 in those chances. LeBlanc now has an ERA of 2.63 and is emerging as a matchup-based fantasy play in future starts.
