Wade Miley Allows Only One Run in Brewers Debut
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Wade Miley went six innings on Wednesday, giving up three hits, one run and three walks while striking out four in the 3-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds. Miley joined the team in spring training on a minor league deal and impressed enough to earn himself a spot in the starting rotation. Miley looked fantastic and could possibly be one of the players that stays in the rotation when Jimmy Nelson returns from injury in the summer. He's on the right track in terms of bouncing back, as he pitched to a 5.61 ERA and 1.73 WHIP with the Baltimore Orioles last year and will hope to find newfound success with the Brewers. He should still only be streamed in favorable matchups until he can prove consistency and quality in the rotation.
